April Showers Bring May Flowers…

But do they bring babies, too? I sure hope so! Today is my cycle day 1. I missed my period last week, as in, I didn’t know it was my period until it was over, since I spotted once a day for four days. I kept thinking it was coming…until it didn’t. Luckily I had a refill of my Prometrium on the shelf and so I took that, which was a good thing because it brought on a full period so I know I’m going into this cycle with a blank slate, so to speak.

J and I are very excited to be moving forward again! After this break, we both feel refreshed, prepared, and ready to tackle this next cycle. Our stress level is down and I’m so happy they scheduled me to come in for my CD3 appointment on Saturday 4/18 instead of having to try to get off work for a Friday appointment! I’ll be switching to the Femara/Letrozole this time instead of using Clomid, and we are hoping and praying that does the trick!

We’re also keeping our stress levels down by not telling anyone publicly (as in, Facebook) when we’re trying. Usually I share updates from the blog on FB but it was just putting too much pressure on me and then it was always awkward to announce that no, I wasn’t pregnant after all. We can’t avoid telling our parents, especially since mine watch Jaxson when we go for the IUI, so they’ll know, and of course all of you here following the blog will know, too.

We both feel good about this cycle, and we’re going to do everything we can to make it a success. Ultimately, we have zero control of the outcome despite our best efforts – it really just comes down to whether the universe thinks its time for our next baby to come home to us. We’re choosing to believe it’s time and are putting that positivity out there. We’re even “nesting” – we can’t help ourselves – we organized our closets and cleaned out all the junk from the baby’s room this past weekend.

So, we’re really ready. Please come home to us soon, baby! 🙂

I hope may is a good month for you. I’ve tried to keep from telling people about us trying but my wife is much more free about these things. It is depressing to have people interested in it when you can’t give them good news.

Thank you! We were very close-lipped with my wife trying, until we started going to the doctor. I thought I would be able to handle the pressure, but I couldn’t. 🙂
